Logic, Philosophy, and the Scientific Method Minor

Admission Criteria

Current UB students seeking admission to the Logic, Philosophy, and the Scientific Method minor should complete the College of Arts and Sciences Major/Minor Change Request Form.

Course Requirements

One Reasoning Requirement (3-4 credits)

One Foundations (3 credits)

Philosophy of Science Core (3 credits)

Three Topics in Philosophy of Science (9 credits)

Total Credits Required for Minor: 18-19

Total Credit Hours Required represents the minimum credits needed to complete this program, and may vary based on a number of circumstances. This chart should not be used for financial aid purposes.

Learning Outcomes

The goal of this Minor program is to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the philosophical foundations of science, including the methods, practices, and commitments of scientists.
