Organizational Leadership Minor

The Organizational Leadership minor is designed to be accessible to students from all disciplines and it will focus on equipping students with the knowledge and interpersonal skills to effectively work in teams and prepare them for leadership positions in work organizations. It will utilize case studies, teamwork, self-reflection exercises, and hands-on experiential practice to develop students’ capabilities to be an effective leader. The Organizational Leadership minor leverages the resources and support of the School of Management (SOM).

Admission Criteria

Applicants to the School of Management Organizational Leadership minor program must be matriculating UB students in good academic standing who are in an approved major, have completed at least 30 credit hours with a minimum overall GPA and UB GPA of 2.00.

All majors, except for Business Administration, are eligible to apply to the Organizational Leadership minor. Business Administration students are eligible to pursue the Leadership and Human Resources concentration instead of the minor.

Program Distinction

A student in this minor is eligible for Program Distinction upon degree conferral if the criteria are met. Criteria are found under Academic Honors in the Policy and Procedure section of this Catalog. Program Distinction is noted on the official transcript.

Academic Requirements

UB and Minor GPA of 2.000 in required and elective courses is needed for completion of the organizational leadership minor.
