Clinical and Translational Therapeutics MS

The only pharmacy school based program of its kind in the country, our MS in Clinical and Translational Therapeutics provides a valuable opportunity to be involved in research and training to combat disease. The program offers hands-on research training and the experiences necessary for students seeking clinical positions in hospitals, pharmaceutical industry, and regulatory agencies. The mission of this innovative degree program is to develop a pipeline of future clinical and translational research leaders through cutting edge scientific discoveries focused on therapeutic individualization and optimization to improve patient care.

Reasearch Areas:  

  • Clinical Trials - trial design and analysis from phase 1 to 4
  • Pharmacotherapy - pharmacotheraputics clinical research, to optimize medication therapy focusing on patient outcomes, safety, and toxicity.
  • Translational Pharmacology -Simulation and translational in silico modeling
  • Experimental Therapeutics - Advancing the science of human pharmacology in laboratory
  • Pharmaceutical Outcomes - Pharmaceutical health services research, pharmacoepidemiology and outcomes research

Required Research Rotations (15 credits)

    • PHM 535LEC - Clinical Trial Design Credits: 3

    • PHM 535LEC - Translational Pharmacology Credits: 3

Culminating Experience: Project (6 credits)
