Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)
1) Students will demonstrate knowledge of basic acoustics, auditory anatomy and physiology, and psychoacoustics.
2) Students will demonstrate in standard oral and/or written form the ability to identify individuals at risk for hearing impairment and design conservation programs to minimize the development of communicative disorders; Students will demonstrate the ability to evaluate individuals with suspected disorders of auditory, balance, communication and related systems and provide appropriate recommendations
3) Students will demonstrate knowledge regarding research in Hearing and Balance and gain background knowledge in Statistics, Research Design, and Evidence-Based Practice
4) Students will recognize and apply current and appropriate professional ethical conduct in clinical planning and management.
5) Students will be able to discuss current issues related to professional credentialing at state and national levels.
