Educational Leadership EdD

UB’s online EdD in educational leadership prepares experienced educators and administrators to tackle pressing challenges in PK-12 and higher education. Through a rigorous curriculum, students develop leadership, research and change management skills while choosing a concentration in PK-12 Educational Administration or Higher Education. The fully online format allows professionals to advance their careers without stepping away from their current roles.

Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)


1) Students will understand educational theory and apply it to writing.

2) Students will conduct literature reviews.

3) Students will understand how to critically read educational research and identify gaps where research is needed.

4) Graduates will be able to identify and address real-world needs and solve education problems for students in K-12 and higher education contexts.

5) Students will develop the ability to collaborate with stakeholders to identify data analytic needs within educational settings.

6) Students will acquire skills in data manipulation and analysis that leads to evidence-based decision making.
