Environmental Health Sciences MS

The MS in Environmental Health Sciences will prepare students for future careers as environmental health research scientists, professionals or specialists and/or continuing graduate study in the environmental health sciences or related fields. The program includes multidisciplinary coursework and research training culminating in a research thesis in one or more disciplines, including but not limited to: environmental epidemiology, toxicology, exposure science, environmental engineering, environmental chemistry and geography.

Number of elective credits may vary depending on choice made to complete the culminating experience. Be sure to complete enough elective credit to reach 30 minimum total credit hours. Culminating Experience: Project or Thesis (1-2 credits)

3.0 Degree GPA required Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)
1) Apply an environmental or occupational health framework to address environmental public health problems experienced in the community or work environment. 2) Evaluate studies for their implications to environmental health issues. 3) Apply ethical and legal considerations in research. 4) Formulate hypotheses and design experiments to test such hypotheses to advance environmental health knowledge. 5) Conduct environmental health research, and analyze and interpret them accordingly.
