The International Trade MA program is primarily designed to prepare students for employment in government, business, and education. This career-oriented program provides the opportunity for students to gain a strong background in theoretical, policy, and development aspects of international business and world trade, with special emphasis on geographical understanding of the process and impact of globalization. The program also provides a firm theoretical and methodological foundation for those who wish to continue in a doctoral or professional degree program. 3.0 Degree GPA required Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)
1) Describe basic statistical concepts and methods. 2) Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills including referencing and citation typical for the field. 3) Describe the interactions between global trade, foreign direct investment, transnational production networks and state policies. 4) Analyze environment and/or development dimensions of global trade, foreign direct investment, transnational production networks and related state policies. 5) Evaluate trade and investment trends using environment and/or development dimensions.
