If you possess substantial music content background, wish to be a leader in music education, aim to teach music nationally or internationally, and are not seeking New York State teaching certification, our music education studies program will provide you with the tools necessary to achieve your professional goals. Our graduates integrate digital technologies to enhance music learning, and value music at the core of the curriculum for every student.

3.0 Degree GPA required. Program must be completed within 5 years. Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)
1) Students engage and reflect to adapt content and pedagogical approaches that meet the needs of all learners. 2) Students engage in learning practices designed around mindful, intentional interactions that engage learners with enthusiasm, care, and humility. 3) Students self-assess their practice based on contemporary pedagogical content knowledge, issues of equity and justice, student and community needs, and asset based values. 4) Students use a repertoire of tools and evidence-based practices about learning (e.g. technology used in course delivery as well as students’ use of digital tools and resources).
