PharmD/Pharmaceutical Sciences MS

Our Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)/Masters of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences (MS) program is a five-year program that provides students with a better understanding of how the chemical and physical properties of drugs and their dosage forms affect drug performance in a variety of disease systems.

The collaborative degree program is five years. Students step out of the PharmD curriculum to begin the MS program and then return to the PharmD while completing the remaining MS requirements. The collaborative program reduces the typical six-year timeline (four years for the PharmD and two years for the MS) by one year. Each candidate must meet all degree requirements of each program, except for the reduction in total credit hours.

International Students: Please note that if you are enrolled in the PharmD/MS program and wish to be eligible for STEM OPT, you must complete all requirements for the MS degree before or at the same time as completing the PharmD.
