Accounting Analytics MS

The MS in Accounting Analytics will not only provide students with the tools required in the modern workforce-it will also provide the foundation for using those tools to solve problems. Participants of this program will include students seeking a graduate accounting degree specializing in accounting analytics and application of technical analytical skills in an accounting context that are not required for professional accounting licensure, with no required prerequisite of an accounting undergraduate degree.

Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)


  1. Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing data analytics skills, including statistical modeling, database building and management, data mining, and predictive modeling, to analyze and interpret realistic and complex accounting data sets.
  2. Integrate fundamental accounting principles in financial reporting, audit, taxation, and accounting information systems to identify patterns and trends and generate actionable insights to facilitate effective decision-making in all areas of accounting practices.
  3. Leverage current data analytics tools, such as data visualization, statistical inferencing, and textual analysis, to streamline and optimize the processes of financial reporting, audit, taxation, and accounting information systems management and improve the quality of compliance in all areas of accounting practices.
