The Advanced Certificate in Assistive and Rehabilitation Technology emphasizes a dynamic, problem-based approach to learning through classroom projects, community involvement and exposure to current research literature. Our mission is to educate practitioners and researchers who share a common professional interest in improving the independence and quality of life for people with disabilities, who use assistive technology. We have created a progressive atmosphere for therapists, engineers and educators who share a common interest in learning the science of assistive technology research and service delivery for people with disabilities.

3.0 Degree GPA required Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)
1) At least 90% of graduates who attempt the RESNA ATP exam will pass within 18 months of completing the program. 2) Graduates of the program will demonstrate professional growth in their AT specialization by: • Increasing their FTE allocated to AT service delivery (compared to their FTE allocation prior to entering the certificate program), and/or • Increasing their FTE allocated to teaching AT-related content in a post-secondary education role (compared to their FTE allocation prior to entering the certificate program), and/or • Increasing their FTE allocated to AT-related research.
