Social Science-Interdisciplinary MS

The MS in Social Science-Interdisciplinary program offers students the freedom to design a specialized graduate curriculum, gain advanced training in research methods, and complete a capstone research project. Candidates combine research in a core social science concentration with related course work in a second social and behavioral science discipline, including anthropology, communicative disorders and sciences, economics, geography, history, linguistics, philosophy, political science, psychology, and/or sociology.

First Area of Social Sciences (15 credits)

15 credit hours in an area of concentration selected from a Social Sciences department from:
- Anthropology (APY)
- Communication (COM)
- Communicative Disorders & Science (CDS)
- Economics (ECO)
- Geography (GEO)
- Linguistics (LIN)
- Philosophy (PHI)
- Political Science (PSC)
- Psychology (PSY)
- Sociology (SOC)
Including at least one graduate course in research methods or statistics, below.
