Communication MA

The Department of Communication offers graduate education leading to a doctoral degree or terminal master’s degree. The program emphasizes the scholarly study of the communication process, with coursework focusing on communication theory and research methodologies. The program prepares students to assume positions in academia, business and government.

Electives & Culminating Experience (18 credits)


Communication Electives


Number of elective credits may vary depending on choice made to complete the culminating experience. Be sure to complete enough elective credit to reach 36 minimum total credit hours. 

  • Choose from all Graduate level COM Courses with a minimum of 6 required within the COM department.
  • Limit of 12 credits from outside of the COM department.
