Educational Administration EdD

Educational administration (EDA) develops the intellectual, performance and moral capacity for leadership roles in school districts, colleges and universities, and in training and development programs for other public agencies. Ranked in the top 20 programs nationwide, UB’s educational administration program has been recognized by the American Association of School Administrators as outstanding in the preparation of educational administrators. The programs within the EDA draw upon the social and behavioral sciences to stimulate new ways of thinking about administering, and transforming education organizations.

Number of elective credits may vary depending on choice made to complete the culminating experience. Be sure to complete enough elective credit to reach 32 minimum total credit hours. 

Select from:

  • Any course not previously taken in GSE with permission of advisor or transfer credits in educational leadership coursework with advisor approval.
  • Students should take a sequence of 5 courses to comprise a “speciailization” area.
  • Excluding ELP 658 , ELP 659 , ELP 702 

Culminating Experience: Dissertation In Practice (9 credits)
