Business Practices in the U.S. Micro-Credential

This micro-credential provides an opportunity to participate in the School of Management’s “Experience the 50” domestic program, an experiential learning trip to one of the 50 states. You will explore various industries and identify ways that you can make an impact in major cities/states across the country.

Academic Requirements


  • School of Management graduate students in the MBA, PMBA, MS in Finance, MS in Accounting, MS in Management Information Systems, and MS in Business Analytics programs.
  • To be considered, you must submit a completed application, updated résumé, personal statement and unofficial transcripts.
  • Overall GPA of 2.5 is required at the time of application. If your GPA currently falls below a 2.5, address this in your personal statement by indicating your plan to increase it prior to participating in the program.

Business Practices in the US Core (1 credit)


Additional Requirements


  • Travel/virtual component ranging in duration from two to seven days (site visits, alumni networking event, mini-case study).
  • Complete mini-case project and present it to alumni and professionals.
  • Showcase achievements via LinkedIn profile with three-to-five-minute documentary of your experience.
  • Present your experience to the Global Advisory Council.
  • Complete a two-to-four page report that includes your comprehensive reflection reports throughout the experience.
