The Real Estate and Urban Development Minor will introduce undergraduate students to Real Estate and Urban Development as an academic area of inquiry, as well as a possible pathway to SUNY’s only graduate Real Estate Development M.S., offered by the Department of Urban and Regional Planning .

Admission Requirements
Minimum UB GPA of 2.50 Current UB students who are interested in applying to the Real Estate and Urban Development Minor in the School of Architecture and Planning should complete the Major/Minor Change Request Form. Core Requirements (9 credits)
Total Credits Required for the Minor: 18
Total Credit Hours Required represents the minimum credits needed to complete this program, and may vary based on a number of circumstances. This chart should not be used for financial aid purposes. Three Upper Division Electives (9credits)
Academic Requirements
Minimum UB GPA of 2.50. Learning Outcomes
- Communication Skills: Argue a point persuasively in written, oral, or visual presentation form.
- Problem Solving: Analyze complicated real estate, finance and urban development issues using environmental design tools, theories, and evidence, complemented by the ability to recommend solutions and implementation plans.
- Critical Thinking: Understand the planning, design, finance and urban development framework underlying successful real estate projects.
- Integrative Understanding: Integrate and coordinate real estate concepts through the lens of environmental design, planning, finance and urban development. Direct assessment will be embedded in selected instructional modules.
