Medical Doctorate (MD) Program

Our medical education program will prepare you to take a giant leap into your health care career with a robust foundation of knowledge bolstering your every move.

With three phases and a supportive environment fostered by learning communities and faculty coaches, our MD program will provide a robust foundation of knowledge for your medical career.

Phase 1: Foundational Curriculum

Year One

Fall - Semester 1 (33 credits)

Spring - Semester 2 (32 credits)

Year 2

Fall - Semester 3 (32 credits)

Spring - Semester 4 (9 credits)

Phase 2: Core Clinical Clerkships

Years 2 & 3

Spring + Fall + Spring - Semesters 4, 5, & 6 (52 credits)

Phase 3: Preparation for Residency & Beyond

Years 3 & 4

Spring + Fall + Spring - Semesters 6, 7, & 8 (42 credits)

Optional Preclinical Electives

There are several electives offered during the preclinical years (M1 and M2). M1s are not permitted to take on any preclinical elective in their first semester (fall). Preclinical electives are optional and are typically offered in the spring semester only. Students are limited to one preclinical elective per semester.

Clinical Electives Offerings

Clinical electives starting with course numbers in the 800s or 900s are eligible to satisfy Phase 2 and Phase 3 elective requirements. This includes Research Electives (course number 950) and Away Electives (course number 890) within their respective departments.
