IDS 302LEC - Introduction to Cultural Production

This class examines the historical and contemporary role of Indigenous cultural production. We will examine the role of cultural production in political and culture movements and as a way to call in those who may relate and call out the structures of colonialism and structures of hierarchy meant to upend our relationality. We will critically engage our examination of cultural production by addressing the major discourses of critical Indigenous intervention, dissent, and liberation in the examination of art.
