MT 407LLB - Clinical Chemistry


Clinical Chemistry (also known as chemical pathology, clinical biochemistry or medical biochemistry), is the area of clinical pathology that is generally concerned with analysis of bodily fluids. MT 407 lecture will emphasize the physiological theory of disease and the principles of chemistry testing. MT 407 laboratory will develop technical competencies in analytical methods and computer-based data reduction and interpretation. Students will study electrolytes, blood gases, hormones, endocrine disorders toxicology of drugs, metabolites, enzymes, etc. Students are required to take both the lecture and the laboratory. Registration in MT 407 is limited to MT accepted majors only. There is a fee associated with this class.
