NSG 348LEC - Evidence Based Practice and Nursing Research Foundations for evidence-based practice in nursing. Specific elements of evidence-based practice include formulating the clinical question, conducting a search strategy, critically appraising the evidence, and implementation of evidence in the clinical environment. Basic concepts of the research process will form the foundation for assessing the quality of evidence. Explores the relationship between evidence-based findings and nursing practice to achieve favorable and cost-containing client outcomes. Must be taken in program sequence. This course is equivalent to NBC 348 .

Requisites: Pre-Requisite: Sophomore standing. NSG 295 or PSY 207 or STA 119 and STA 119 or SSC 225 or CEP 207 . Completion of Communication Literacy 1 or completion of Writing Skills 1 (ENG 101 or placement into ENG 201); Admission to the Nursing Program.
