SOC 328LEC - Social Inequality How do class origins, race and ethnicity, and gender affect the life chances and experiences of individuals? This course surveys a broad range of theories associated with social stratification, and reviews recent empirical findings from social-scientific research on inequality. We examine patterns of inequality in the United States and elsewhere, investigating both the causes and consequences of inequality.
