BIO 442LEC - Ornithology Ornithology is the scientific study of birds. This course is designed to familiarize students with all aspects of ornithology, including taxonomy, evolution, anatomy, behavior, and identification. Lectures will provide a foundation in major topics in ornithology, with an emphasis on evolutionary context. Each topic will be supported by student-led discussion of peer-reviewed journal articles. Students will learn the major taxonomic groups in North America, with an emphasis on New York species. This course is dual-listed with BIO 525.
