APY 390LAB - Field Methods in Primatology Primatological research relies on the standardization of methodological approaches to maintain scientific integrity. To become a professional primatologist, you need to gain hands-on experience using a variety of primatology methods. In this course students will learn a variety of field primatology methods while working with Endangered lemurs living in a naturalistic habitat in central Florida. Here, they move through the forest, choosing what to eat, where to travel, and with whom to associate - much as they would in their native habitat of Madagascar. By the end of the course, students will have first-hand experience in primatological research, the theory behind it, and its practical applications. This course has an additional fee to cover expenses while in Florida.
