BE 453LEC - Rehabilitation Engineering Rehabilitation engineering aims to investigate, design, and apply technologies to address issues in human disability, motor functionality, and improving the quality of life for people with paretic neuromuscular function. The course will examine the human sensory-motor system, prosthetics and orthotics, human gait, robotic systems for rehabilitation, and clinical applications. The goal of this course is to provide an engineering framework for the principles and design of modern rehabilitation technologies.
