MAE 336LEC - Heat Transfer Introduces the transport of heat by conduction, convection, and radiation. Topics include transient and steady-state, one- and multidimensional heat conduction (treated both analytically and numerically); single-phase, laminar and turbulent, and forced and natural convection both within ducts and on external surfaces (dimensional analysis and empirical correlations); two-phase transport (boiling and condensation); radiative properties of materials and analysis of radiative heat transfer in enclosures; and analysis of heat exchangers.
