CE 418LEC - Principles of Nanosensors This course will focus on the fundamental principles of nanoscale phenomena and their application in designing and developing nanosensors with emphasis on nanomechanical sensors. Topics covered include a survey of micro- and nano-fabricated sensors, molecular selectivity, related transport phenomena, interaction of light with molecular adsorbates. The course will cover the basic as well as engineering aspects of sensor system design, fabrication, and integration. Sensor design for specific sensing applications will be discussed.
