*These classes satisfy the prerequisites for the Pharmacy PharmD program. Each Pharmacy PharmD prerequisite course must be successfully completed with a grade greater than or equal to a C (2.000).

Any student who was admitted into UB before the fall 2020 semester will need to follow the acceptance criteria and program requirements that can be found in the 2019-2020 undergraduate catalog.

Academic Requirements

1. Earn minimum grade point averages
   • Overall GPA 3.000
   • Minimum GPA of 3.000 in the Biomedical Sciences BS Major courses 
   • Each Pharmacy PharmD prerequisite course must be successfully completed with a grade grater than or equal to a C (2.000).
2. Submit an application through the Pharmacy College Application Service (PharmCAS) during the fall of the junior year, no later than October 1.
3. Upon invitation, complete a formal interview.
4. Selection is based on scholastic achievement, aptitude, personal qualifications, and evidence of motivation toward pharmacy. In addition to intellectual and academic competence, the Admissions Committee considers communication skills, leadership ability, community service, health care-related or research experience, and motivation for pursuing a career in pharmacy.

First years must declare the Biomedical Sciences BS/PharmD major by December 31 of their first semester. All other candidates for Pharmacy admission are considered through the competitive PharmCAS application process.
