*Application should be made when the student has completed the introductory courses or during the semester in which they will be completed.
Some students, based on demonstrated proficiency in Korean, may begin their study of Korean at the 102/112, 201, 202, or higher level. The lower level courses that they do not take will not count toward the minor and must be replaced with other Korean language or Korean language-related courses to bring the total number of courses to six and the total number of credits to at least 18.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of all requirements, students are expected to have:
- Intermediate level proficiency in Korean in the four areas of listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
- Cultural knowledge and understanding desired for the target level of proficiency.
- Intercultural communication skills.
