IDS 420SEM - Indigenous Knowledge and Methods This course will explore the distinct basis of Indigenous knowledges and how these intellectual paradigms or ways of knowing continue to advance our thinking about the production of knowledge regarding Indigenous peoples and methodological issues related to research. Emphasis will be placed on the ongoing relevance of Indigenous epistemologies, dynamically developed from centuries of lived practices encouraging balance, humility and responsibility in relationships between peoples, ecosystems and cosmologies.
